Mijas is a municipality in the province of Malaga and is located on the Costa del Sol.
Inhabited since ancient times, Mijas was a small village mainly dedicated to agriculture and fishing until the arrival of the tourist boom in 1950.

Since then, tourist activity has been a large part of the income of this municipality. The "Burro-Taxis" are very emblematic and one of the main attractions of this village. Nowadays they have their own car park. Apart from a spectacular panoramic view, it is a very typical white village with many restaurants and leather shops.
